Join a Team

Immerse yourself in African life when you travel as part of a team to northwest Uganda or northeast Nigeria. There, you’ll take an active role in our programs serving war-affected youth--young people who are either refugees living in Uganda’s Imvepi Settlement, or are internally displaced within Nigeria. ChildVoice is bringing hope and healing to these young lives through counseling, education, vocational training, life-skills training, early-childhood development, and medical support.

You will have opportunities to serve in a variety of ways, such as assisting with construction and agricultural projects; providing medical services; facilitating classroom instruction in basic reading, writing and math alongside our educators; participating in spiritual formation activities; helping with the care of infants and young children; leading recreational activities; and supporting staff with sewing, cooking, and many other activities!

Testimonials

“After traveling to Uganda with ChildVoice, all I can say is, ChildVoice is missions done right! We reached the Lukome Center just three days after the arrival of a new group of child-mothers. I watched as joy erased the distrust and anger on their faces in two short weeks.” — Paula Chouinard, New Hampshire

“There are no words to describe the effect the people of northern Uganda have had on me and on my life. It's because of my involvement with ChildVoice that I have been blessed with this rich experience.”  — Jane Patton, Iowa
