WHERE WE WORK

Our mission began in 2006 with the establishment of the Lukome Center in Gulu, Uganda, to provide hope and healing to adolescent girls who had been victimized by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). Since that time, we have expanded, setting up community-based programs in northern Uganda to serve South Sudanese refugees, and northeastern Nigeria, where we have programs for internally displaced adolescent boys and girls. Now, we are also working with partners on the ground in both Moldova and Ukraine to help Moldovan orphans and forcibly displaced Ukrainian youth recover from exploitation and conflict-based trauma and learn the skills they need to lead happy and fruitful lives.
