ChildVoice Celebrates International Women’s Day 2014!

On March 8th, ten ChildVoice students will travel to Gulu to participate in a community celebration of International Women’s Day 2014. The UN theme this year is “Equality for Women is Progress for All.” We are so proud to celebrate the many accomplishments our students and graduates whose acts of courage and determination embody the spirit of this important day.

ChildVoice is committed to supporting the social, political, and economic achievements of young women affected by war. Our Lukome Center campus in Northern Uganda has been providing young women (and their children) with an opportunity to rebuild their lives since 2007. Growing up in the shadow of war, our students include former child soldiers, orphans, and other girls whose lives were torn apart by violence and poverty.

Thanks to our many supporters, we have been able to provide these young women with the opportunities that they deserve including access to medical services, psychosocial counseling, education, and vocational training.

Thanks to all of you who support our work to provide hope and a brighter future for these young women.
